Kaskade 7

A flexible C++ toolbox for finite element computations.

Kaskade 7 uses a flexible mix-and-match approach to discretizing systems of PDEs, exploiting modern C++ features. Being a library (or toolbox) rather than a framework allows to address most PDE problems - if needed, by extending. It rests on several other libraries: Dune, boost, SuiteSparse, Mumps, ...

The code is developed since 2006 at the Zuse Institute Berlin in the Computational Medicine research group, and is the workhorse for all PDE problems encountered, ranging from hyperthermia treatment planning to joint mechanics and time of death estimation. The current master branch started in spring 2020 will lead to version 7.5.
